Prologis Breaks Ground On 124,000 SF Distribution Center

Orlando-based Williams Co. Southeast has broken ground for Prologis‘ 124,000-square-foot Building 600, a distribution center at Beltway Commerce Center in Orlando.

“I think the big deal here is that the industrial market is back,” said Williams President Bob Lipscomb. “Warehouses have filled up in the last 12 to 18 months. The spec industrial market has been dead, but now it’s back.”

Further evidence of activity was a reduction in vacancy rates for industrial properties south of State Road 408, according to a quarterly report by Realty Capital Senior Vice President Lyle Nelsen.

Located at 5867 Vista East Parkway near State Road 417 and Lee Vista Boulevard, the Prologis building will have a 32-foot clearance, sprinkler system, 35 dock doors, two drive-in doors and 116 parking spaces.

Macgregor Associates Architects of Atlanta designed the $5 million project to meet LEED standards of the U.S. Green Building Council.
