With Central Florida’s real estate market heating up, one of Florida’s largest commercial real estate services firms is expanding its reach in the region’s retail sector, closing new transactions and winning exclusive tenant representation assignments.

CREC has completed 14 leases totaling a combined 23,850 square feet of retail space within the past 30 days and has added six new retailers to its client roster. The news comes less than one year after CREC expanded its presence in Central Florida with the addition of seasoned retail brokers.

“CREC has been a force in the Central Florida retail market for more than a decade and we continue to believe this region carries tremendous upside,” said CREC President and Co-Founder Carol Brooks. “With retailers increasingly looking to enter Central Florida and expand their presence in key submarkets, we have been aggressive in growing our capabilities and our team over the past year. This investment has led to a steady string of transaction volume and new client relationships, growing our regional market share and cementing CREC’s position as Florida’s retail leader.”

CREC Vice President Josh Busby and Leasing Associate Nathan Cutchin represented the owners of the below properties in the following transactions.

  • Waterbridge Downs Shopping Center in Orlando has completed five retail leases totaling 7,970 square feet of space. “This surge of transaction activity since the start of the new year signals continued interest among retailers seeking to occupy premium shopping center locations in neighborhoods offering easy access to major thoroughfares and close proximity to residential population density,” said CREC Vice President Josh Busby. “With the region’s consumer economy strengthening, we anticipate regional and national tenants will continue to expand in key submarkets throughout Central Florida.”

On the tenant representation side, Mr. Cutchin represented JNT Healthcare in securing a 2,250-square-foot lease at Central Park Plaza, situated at 1701 West Oak Ridge Road in Orlando.
