The city of Leesburg and Lake County’s Economic Development & Tourism Department team have signed an agreement with Coreslab to expand and move its manufacturing facility from Orlando to Lake County.

The concrete product company is buying 75 acres between County Road 470 and Florida’s Turnpike where it plans to develop a new facility that will employ 55, with the capacity to expand to a work force of 100.

“Manufacturing is Lake County’s economic backbone, and this is just the first of several major manufacturers interested in the 470 Commerce Park in Leesburg,” said Adam Sumner, Lake County’s economic development and tourism manager.

Coreslab expects to have the new facility operational by January 2016.
